There are 28 teams entered for this year’s regatta.
A few reminders for the lead up & before the holidays start:-

Registration and weigh-in Saturday 20th April 1300 – 1730 at the Mahurangi East Community Centre, Hamatana Road, Snells Beach.
Briefing will also be at the Community Centre, the doors will open just before 6pm.

.As per the NOR, there will be daily briefings at 8:15am at SYC, Algies Bay, except ANZAC Day when it will be at 11:00am, for 12 noon race start.

If you are able to bring a rib please contact Ross on 0274728332 or email rosssutherland5@gmail.com. We need 15 ribs for the umpires alone.

Support personnel, umpires, etc please bring your own VHF (& charger) if possible.

Also a lifejacket for any intending to go on the water, including coaches or managers on the change-over boats.

This years’ umpires’ seminar is cancelled. All those who have registered should receive  further information from YNZ regarding this.

Sailors and helpers please remember to bring a shackle key.

The prize-giving dinner to be held on the evening of Friday 26th April, requires formal dress please. The entry fee provides each team with 9 tickets for the dinner.

There is a Managers’ Meeting scheduled for 1930 Wednesday 24th April, at SYC, Sandspit – all welcome to attend (not just the managers!).

There will be no regatta booklet issued this year, but draws will be given out (& uploaded to the website on Saturday!). Other info will be on the website – ‘NZ Secondary Schools’ tab.

Please read ensure the sailors read the ‘Important Sailor Information’

Sailing Instructions attached.

As above, there is no sailing on ANZAC Day morning, but remember racing starts at 12 noon, following Briefing at 11am.

If anyone is interested in attending an ANZAC parade or service – Warkworth Dawn Parade at 5.50am, followed by the Service at 6am, then Civic Parade and Service at 10.15am and 10.30am. I believe the Matakana Service has been cancelled this year.

There is an Antique Fair at Matakana School, 952 Matakana Road Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st April 10am-4pm. Entry by gold coin donation.

Note that Waiwera hot pools closed for a 6-month refurbishment, but we still have a deal with Matakana Cinemas again. (Details at registration)

Results – especially for those who are unable to make it to the event – will be posted on the website as they are called off the finish boats. The link will be given closer to regatta commencement

NOTE: As with previous long weekends in the Warkworth area, we envisage that there will be very heavy traffic heading north from mid-morning most days of Easter, with the tail possibly back to south of the tunnels (ie crawling all the way from there to Warkworth!!). Also heading back into Warkworth from Algies from mid-afternoon during the weekend!

Good luck to all who may be attending Optinats and starling nationals.
